People for the future
People for the Future is a national resources sector careers portal developed by the Queensland Resources Council (QRC), the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) and the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA).
This portal will assist you to explore the broad range of job opportunities offered by the Australian resources sector. Basic training qualifications are attached to each job role and there are linkages to key national and state based training providers.
The portal contains an interactive Career Finder tool which allows you to highlight your key areas of interest and then provides suggestions of job roles that may be of interest to you.

Mining and Gas Jobs Expos
A series of free one-day mining and gas jobs expos were held in late 2011 and early 2012. The purpose of these expos was to provide jobseekers with the opportunity to find out about the range of current and future job and career opportunities available in the resources sector in Queensland and the skilling pathways that lead to them.
A number of information sessions were held at each expo to provide jobseekers with insight into the key sectors of the resources industry where employment opportunities are available - mining, construction, and energy and gas.
